DACH fintech visibility is not one market

Sample of the Cuewhere intelligence layer. Room scores 0 to 10 per buyer. Not a customer Presence Report. Not a product export.

Cuewhere · 23 August 2026 · this pass · N=60

Fintech visibility in DACH is not one market. It is a set of buyer rooms that barely share sources.

A Group Treasurer does not get deal confidence from the same pages a bank operator reads. Collapse those rooms into one leaderboard and a loud neobank looks more present than a treasury vendor that actually sits where treasurers sit.

TIS is Group Treasurer BPS 9: DerTreasurer, VDT, and Finanzsymposium. That is not usage leadership on a TMS survey.

Moss, scored as Group Treasurer, is BPS 0 and SPS 4. Handelsblatt and Finanz-Szene named it. Loud in operator and general press, quiet where Group Treasurers read. The scene can be real while the buyer room is empty.

Pliant is a VDT supporting member and ran an ACTA webinar on 25 September 2025. Treasurer BPS 4. The same Finanz-Szene run is SPS 6 for that buyer, and BPS 6 when the buyer is the bank and card operator. Same brand. Two rooms. Two scores. They are not averaged.

Vendor media is not buyer media. An empty cell can be the correct empty cell.

Ten rooms, not ten firms in one race. One brand appears twice because it has two buyers.

How to read the three scores

BPS, 0 to 10, answers the room question: how present is this firm in the sources that buyer already uses? SPS, 0 to 10, is presence in scene media for that same buyer. BRS, 0 to 10, asks whether a source, topic, and buyer are a relevant place to be present.

A unicorn interview in a general daily does not move BPS. It can move SPS. SPS is useful. It is not a substitute.

Cuewhere ranks opportunities by BRS. It does not rank brands by SPS. In a public essay we do not publish a ranked list of who should go where.

These scores are analyst-assessed. They do not use the product prototype weights. Claimed audience figures never enter BPS. Dual rows stay dual.

A 9 is not a 10. Membership, a booth, and a named evaluation are different mention types. Further named articles in a room a brand already occupies do not raise the score this pass. A 0 this pass is not a legal zero. Some treasurer and Swiss financial titles sit behind paywalls.

Same problem, two rooms

Corporate cards look like one category. They are not one information environment. The mid-market CFO who wants a card product, the Group Treasurer who has to live with it inside treasury policy, and the bank operator who partners on issuing do not read the same things.

The treasurer row is association membership plus a dated Austrian webinar. Not a DerTreasurer product evaluation. It says a card vendor can enter the treasurer association in Germany and appear on the Austrian treasurer events calendar without yet being evaluated as a product in the German treasurer trade title. The door is open. The room is not occupied the way a standing TMS vendor occupies it.

The operator row is named Finanz-Szene coverage of revenue, Volksbanken, and funding. Further named articles in that room do not raise the score this pass.

Read those two rows together, then stop. Average them and you get a fake 5 that belongs to nobody. The treasurer does not care that operators already know the funding story. The operator does not need the VDT listing to believe the company exists. Cuewhere keeps both facts and refuses the blend.

This is not a verdict on who wins spend. It is a map of which room each brand already occupies.

Where incumbents sit, where the scene sits

Standing treasurer vendors are already in the profession's own sources. Their empty Finanz-Szene cells are the correct empty cells. A treasury workstation vendor that started writing founder essays for the Berlin fintech scene would be in the wrong room.

Bank and fintech operators live on Finanz-Szene. That is the right room for them. The German retail bank in the table is a supervised-bank story there, not a VDT story. Empty treasurer trade press for that name is the wrong room, not a gap.

The Swiss payments scheme on Finanz-Szene is the wrong empty cell. Presence lives in Finanzplatz media. Demanding a German operator feature would confuse the two rooms.

Wrong room: silence in media the buyer does not use. Thin in a live topic: the profession is already talking about the problem and the name is not in those sources. Occupied room: more named articles where a brand already sits do not move the other buyer's score.

Outreach is out of scope. Human approval would still be required before any campaign. The scan names rooms and scores. It does not sequence emails.

Germany, Switzerland, and Austria are not the same atlas

Germany's treasurer profession and Germany's operator scene barely overlap. If a DACH plan treats German finance media as one list, it buys the wrong inventory.

Switzerland is not a small Germany. Yuh, Neon, and Relio split 8 / 6 / 0 in Swiss retail and SME this pass. That is a Finanzplatz split, not a product ranking. Relio 0 this pass on the Swiss SME row we could test. Partial, not a census.

Austria is not a small Germany. ACTA is the treasurer room. brutkasten is ecosystem press. Copying the German VDT directory onto Austria fails: the public ACTA site still has no searchable supporting-member list of that kind.

Wealth has three buyers. Retail investor, listed broker, and family office do not share a core source. Mixing them is a method error.

What this pass does not claim

  • N=60 is a sample, not a census of DACH fintech. It is biased toward firms that already have a public footprint.
  • BPS 0 behind a paywall is not a legal zero. DerTreasurer and FuW bodies were not fully extracted.
  • BPS 9 is not market-share leadership.
  • Association membership is not proof of usage. A TMS survey leader can sit outside a scraped supporting-member list.
  • This is not outreach, partnership advice, or campaign activation.

The results do not say that operator press is fake. SPS exists because scene media is real. They do not say that a 6 in the operator room is a failure. For that buyer it is presence. They do not say a customer should wait for an automatic export from the Cuewhere app. This pass is analyst-assessed.

Method in one pass: ask which buyer, then which sources that buyer uses, then whether the brand is present. Scores are this pass. They are not a ranking of 60, not a best-fintech list, and not an app export.

Two consumer-credit names in the universe were not scored this pass. One Austrian pension brand is out of window for 2025 and 2026 presence.
